Jessica is a spirited, passionate filmmaker based in the UK, between Peterborough and London. She has attained multiple academic accolades in the art of film and video production, including a 1st Class Honours in BA (Hons) Film Production from University of Lincoln and a Pass with Distinction in MA Film Studies (with Philosophy) from King's College, London. As well as her academic achievements, Jessica is an accomplished creative with a diverse skillset spanning directing, producing, cinematography, screenwriting, editing and photography. Her experience is founded in a wide array of short films and projects, as well as her professional work shooting content for brands, companies and initiatives including the PFCA, Nexus Connected, Devaney-Togher Academy and Project Fashion Fixed.
Jessica hopes to create films and content that both educate and entertain, drawing upon historical knowledge to contextualise what it means to be a woman in the 21st century. Her most notable work includes Rosemary (2023), an experimental historical fiction film which recently won Best Student Film at the Experimental, Dance and Music Festival 2023. Her graduation project, Murder at Curtain Call (2022), is a neo-noir murder mystery which won the award for Best Crime/Action Student Short film at the London Independent Film Awards, as well as being officially selected for Prodigy Film Festival, London Movie Awards, and First-Time Filmmaker Sessions @ Pinewood Studios.
